According to the experts, the multiplier effect will exceed this amount by more than seven times. In July 2014, Rosneft and the Russian Geological Society have launched an initiative to develop an interdisciplinary program for scientific development of the Arctic.

Yamal LNG
The Yamal LNG project envisages the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant with a capacity of 16.5 million tons per year on the resource base of the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field. Proven and probable gas reserves as of December 31, 2013 according to PRMS standards amount to 927 billion cubic meters The project is implemented by Yamal LNG, whose shareholders are OAO NOVATEK (60%), Total (20%) and CNPC (20%).
